Bamberg County CHW Received the 2023 Waddy Thompson Citizen of the Year Award

On Friday December 1st, the Bamberg County Chamber of Commerce held their 57th annual Awards Ceremony. At this ceremony, Mr. James E. Wilson III was presented with the 2023 Waddy Thompson Citizen of the Year Award. The Waddy Thompson Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to a Bamberg County citizen who has exhibited great interest in Bamberg County and has gone above and beyond the call of duty to contribute to the growth of the community. 

James Wilson III completed the Community Health Worker Certification during the Summer of 2023 at SC State University, and has been working on various projects with the South Carolina Community Health Worker Association (SCCHWA) since then, including being the SCCHWA Annual Conference's photographer.
