Take Action!

Black women in the United States are three to four more times likely to die during childbirth than white women. BIRTHING JUSTICE, a feature-length documentary film, captures the experiences and challenges of Black women, their families, caretakers and advocates, and examines the structures and systems that determine disparate rates of mortality.

Join the conversation.  March of Dimes and Birth-Matters will host a Birthing Justice Film Screening and Town Hall Discussion in four regional locations. Hear from some of South Carolina’s Maternal Infant Health leaders, practitioners and advocates in an open discussion to address Black maternal morbidity and mortality.
