South Carolina Evaluation of the Return on Investment (ROI) of Community Health Worker Integration
The Center for Applied Research and Evaluation at the Arnold School of Public Health conducted an in-depth evaluation of the return on investment (ROI) for integrating Community Health Workers (CHWs) into South Carolina’s healthcare system. The study highlighted the significant financial and social benefits of CHW programs, including cost savings, improved care delivery, and better health outcomes for underserved populations. By providing clear evidence of their value, the evaluation underscored the importance of sustaining and expanding CHW initiatives to address health disparities across the state.
