SC CHWs Elected to Represent SC at the National Democratic Party Convention
At the South Carolina Democratic Party Convention, seven members were selected to represent South Carolina in Chicago at the National Democratic Party Convention. Two of those seven are South Carolina Certified Community Health Workers, Nikita Jackson and Angelia Edwards.
Nikita Jackson is a lifelong Rock Hill South Carolina resident, advocate, and servant leader who inspires and empowers individuals to achieve their potential. She is passionate about serving and advocating for impact, change, and efficacy of resources in the communities of need. Nikita says, “I'm honored to be chosen to represent South Carolina at the National Democratic Party Convention. As an advocate with the South Carolina Community Health Workers Association (SCCHWA), I am dedicated to improving healthcare access and equity in our community. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to bring South Carolina's voice to the national stage and to advocate for the issues that matter most to our communities. Together, we can make a real difference!"
Angelia Edwards is a Mother, and an Activist, along with being a Certified Community Health Care Worker, and Second-Chair Spartanburg. She is proven in leadership when it comes to canvassing, working booths, and strategizing to create positive change.
