The Southeastern CHW Monthly CoLab!

The goal of CoLab is for Community Health Workers and CHW Allies from across the Southeast to offer support and learn together.

Every month, a CHW will present a case study, and an expert will offer training on a topic of great interest. By attending and completing an evaluation, participants will receive 1 hour of CHW CEU every month.

SCCHWA is partnering with SC AHEC, which is providing registration, platform, and evaluation assistance.

SE CHW CoLab will convene monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at noon EST.

Are you a CHW with a challenging case or issue? Apply here to be a CHW Case Study Presenter.

You will need to create an account on the AHEC site. That's great because they offer loads of great continuing education!

In March, our topic will be "Acquiring Knowledge in Perinatal Mental Health Matters and Makes a Difference when Serving My Community"
Objectives:
  1. Describe 3 potential risk factors impacting the individual's mental health in the transition to parenthood.
  2. Express 2 ways to implement relevant practices to empower clients in advocating for their needs.
  3. Identify 3 resources that promote optimal perinatal mental health and wellness.
Description:  This session aims to explore key factors affecting mental health during the transition to parenthood, offering strategies to empower clients in advocating for their needs and highlighting resources that support optimal perinatal mental health and wellness.
