Bakari Sellers, activist, was born into an activist family and grew up in very rural Denmark, SC. His father, civil rights leader Cleveland Sellers, instilled core values in him to continue his tireless commitment to service. Bakari made history in the 2006 South Carolina state legislature as the youngest African American elected official in the nation at the age of 22.

Bakari Sellers, author of the New York Times Best Seller, 'My Vanishing Country: A Memoir,' offers an insightful look into the lives of America's often overlooked black working class. His poignant memoir combines personal experiences with historical and cultural analysis.

Bakari Sellers, attorney, practices law with the Strom Law Firm, LLC in Columbia, where he heads the firm's Strategic Communication and Public Affairs team and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consulting.

Bakari Sellers, advocate, is a powerful voice for under-served and under-resourced communities across South Carolina and the nation, like the one he grew up in. The Bakari Sellers Podcast, a twice-a-week show, discusses a variety of topics, including politics, race, sports, media, the presidential campaign, and much more. More than likely, you've seen Bakari Sellers, a Political Commentator on CNN, talking straight!
