DESCRIPTION
In this workshop, participants will develop knowledge and skills related to collaborative program development, seeking funding opportunities, and writing grant proposals. The workshop is intended to provide participants with the foundations of grant funding. The workshop will focus heavily on the importance of collaboration across disciplines and organizations in grant development in a competitive world. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to build connections with other professionals and plant the seeds for successful program outcomes.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Wendy E. Sellers, PhD, MSW, MA
Wendy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at Winthrop University. She received her Ph.D. in social work and MSW from the University of South Carolina, an MA in History from Florida State University, and a BA in history from Wofford College. Her research focuses on immigration, sustainable development, international social work and program evaluation. She has extensive grant writing experience at the local, state, and federal levels and has partnered with Pee Dee AHEC for over 18 years.
