Professional Bio
She is the proud mom of two beautiful children and has a 2-year-old grandson, Kace McCreary-Means, who is an absolute joy.
Wilma works as the Highland Community Outreach Advocate for the United Way at the Bethlehem Center, in her neighborhood. She serves on the Women’s Usher Board Ministry and the Senior Women's Missionary Society of MMBC. She is the Interim Chair of the Highland Community Development Corporation and the secretary of the HNA Executive Board. She is also a member of the Highland Leadership Team working with the Highland Transformation Committee in developing and implementing the Highland Transformation Plan.
Wilma graduated from the Grassroots Leadership Development Institute and the Spartanburg Leadership Academy. She graduated from the Spartanburg City and County Citizen’s Academy in 2021 and 2023, respectively. Wilma also works with the SE CHW Network on the planning committee.
She serves on the Live Healthy Spartanburg Steering Committee, as an advisor with Wholespire of the Spartanburg Food Coalition, and is a member of the Movement 2030 Advisory Board. She serves on Spartanburg Housing’s Family Self-Sufficiency Committee working to move young families to self-sufficiency.
